Cuartelado, 1º de Castilla, 2º de León, 3º de Aragón, y 4º de Navarra;
entado y caído en punta de Granada.
Sobre el todo un escusón ovalado de azur,
con tres flores de lis de oro bien ordenadas y con bordura de gules.
Soportan el escudo dos columnas de plata con sus capiteles y basas de oro,
sobre ondas de agua de azur y plata,cimadas de las Coronas Imperial y Real,
y enlazadas por una cinta de gules con la leyenda "PLUS ULTRA" en letras de oro.

Spain

This section was inspired by the set of postage stamps, issued in the 1960s, which represented the arms of the capital towns of the provincias. Following this issue, a booklet was published, pointing out the many errors made by the designers of the stamps. I intend to translate much of this and to add comments of my own.
