Medieval Rolls of Arms
The Complete Database
I am now offering for sale the complete database of all the medieval coats of arms arms which appear on the site, comprising a total of more than 5200 coats from early English and Continental Rolls.
I started the research into heraldry in 1985, before the internet was available. In 2001 I began my first website, "Studies in Heraldry", which was one of the first and largest heraldry sites on the web. Over the last ten years, I have amassed a huge amount of information on individual coats of arms which reside on a database, 2gb in size, which I use for the sections on Rolls of Arms on the site.
The original program format is Microsoft Access, . Using this format, the information is available just as I use it on a daily basis, including tables, queries, forms, and reports. In addition, there are images of every coat. The information may be used, searched, filtered, added to, or deleted at will.
The database may also be used with Open Office, which is a very good free open source program, available to download from the internet. Once linked to the original, it may be used in the same way as Access. The single difference is that the images are not visible in Open Office.
Please contact me if you would like to purchase copies of any of the other sections of the site.
The database is available on DVD, at a price of £50, including postage. Payment may be made by Paypal, or by GBP, USD and Euro cheques: please ask for the current conversion rate. mailto:timms@wanadoo.fr
Orders should be sent to me at

The offer includes a free annual upgrade of the database on DVD.
Screenshots of the main Access form appear below. There are of course many other ways in which the contents of the database may be consulted.
